Today’s post is a bit more personal. But it’s very, very special to me.
Today happens to be the anniversary of the day I married the love of my life. Three years ago, the sun was shining, the wind was blowing, and airplanes hummed above us as we said our I Dos in front of one hundred of our dearest family and friends.
My husband planned a surprise day-out over the weekend to celebrate our anniversary. The simple walk in the park with our pup, Scarlett, would have been enough. But knowing him – everything is a “go big, or go home” sort of deal. So onward to more afternoon adventures we went!
With our careers, it’s not often that we get to spend an entire day together, let alone, be locked in the same room together for a whole hour! But that’s what we did! We headed up to Green Bay where unbeknownst to me, we ended up at the Escape Room. Oh my goodness, you guys, it was so much fun! Even if we were .2 seconds away from solving the mystery and unlocking the door before the timer ran out! (Darn you math problems!)
Afterwards, we had dinner at Fratello’s, and of course, who could forget dessert! He treated me to a late-night stop at Baskin Robbins (It’s been more than a decade - yikes!) We sat on the back of his tailgate soaking up each other’s company, and watching as the cars drove by. My kind of romantic date!
This man amazes me every day. We were just kids when we met, but I can’t imagine growing up without him by my side for the past 12 years. We are living one amazing life!
Here’s to you, Mr. Wittmann. Out of all this world, thank you for choosing me.
All of me. All my love.
Happy anniversary, dear!
Cheers to Celebrating!

Sue and David…what a lovely couple!
As chance would have it, they met over a holiday meal, and have been together for the last seven years. With no intention of tying the knot in their future, David decided that it just felt right, and the rest is history.
An Oshkosh native, Sue knew of the city’s rich history and wanted to share this spectacular place with their guests. Planning from their home in Florida, Sue reached out last year to get a little help from Witt & Co. to act as her feet on-the-ground here in Oshkosh.
I knew from our very first phone conversation that this wedding was going to be one to be remembered. With impeccable taste, style, and class, Sue had a vision, and we were going to make it happen together!
View a few of the photos taken by Witt & Co. throughout the weekend, below!
The guest list was intimate, and only included 30 of Sue and David’s closest family and friends. I had the pleasure of meeting each guest at their rehearsal dinner! What an amazing group! Each family was gifted a “Welcome to Oshkosh" bag, full of Caramel Crisp popcorn and cookies and Oak’s chocolates.
I worked with Jim Kolb (the mastermind behind House of Flowers) to design rehearsal centerpieces that Sue referred to as “Iconic Oshkosh.” Vintage phone books and bottles from Oshkosh were place on each dinner table for guests to admire.
Despite the impending thought of rain on their garden ceremony and reception at the Paine Art Center, we weren’t about to let a little rain spoil such a beautiful May 28th affair. Fortunately, the skies cleared and stayed sunny for the entire afternoon, (save for a brief shower during dinner while all were seated safely under the tent.)
Cate and Kelsey of Red Tide, serenaded as David and Sue walked hand-in-hand into their ceremony under the arbor. A collection of some of the most beautiful vocals I’ve ever heard. We were lucky enough to listen to the two of them throughout the entire event, from set-up to send-off!
After the ceremony, guests were invited to relax on the Great Lawn, with games, drinks, and appetizers.
Garden elegance met "kitschy" Wisconsin on the sage green satin table cloths that draped each dinner table. Wooden trays held bunches of fresh neutral florals, candles, and wooden cow table numbers, hand-picked by Sue and David. Each guest found their seat with a little help from their place cards held by miniature foam cheese heads.
In keeping with the Oshkosh theme, the menu provided by Zuppa’s Catering was a true Wisconsin spread of cheeses, fish, and craft beers mixed with flavorful Jewish fare. With barely enough room for dessert, a special angel food cake from Tamara's, was a pleasant end to the meal. All flawlessly displayed, it was a true feast for the eyes!
What a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! We were thrilled to be a part of your very special day, Sue and David. It was an absolute honor and privilege to get to know you both!
Best wishes, and cheers to celebrating!
